Thematic Mapper (TM)

Thematic Mapper (TM) is a sensor on board Landsat satellites that captures images of the Earth's surface in seven spectral bands. The sensor has a spatial resolution of 30 meters for most bands and a spectral resolution of 8 bits, which allows for the detection of a wide range of features on the Earth's surface. The TM sensor is used for a variety of applications, including land cover mapping, vegetation monitoring, and geological exploration. The data collected by the TM sensor is widely used in environmental studies, resource management, and urban planning.
