Superposition

Superposition is a principle of quantum mechanics that states that a physical system can exist in all possible states simultaneously, until it is observed or measured. This means that a particle can be in multiple places or have multiple properties at the same time, until it is observed. The act of observation or measurement causes the system to collapse into a single state. Superposition is a fundamental concept in quantum computing, where quantum bits (qubits) can exist in multiple states simultaneously, allowing for parallel processing and exponential speedup in certain algorithms.
