Spiral Galaxy
A spiral galaxy is a type of galaxy characterized by a central bulge surrounded by a flat, rotating disk of stars and interstellar matter, with arms that spiral outward from the center. These arms contain young, hot stars, as well as gas and dust that are actively forming new stars. Spiral galaxies are thought to be the most common type of galaxy in the universe, and they come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The Milky Way, our own galaxy, is a spiral galaxy.
