Servicing Vehicle
A Servicing Vehicle is a spacecraft designed to perform maintenance and repair tasks on other spacecraft in orbit. It is equipped with tools, instruments, and equipment necessary to perform various tasks such as refueling, repairing, upgrading, and inspecting other spacecraft. Servicing Vehicles can extend the lifespan of satellites and other spacecraft by repairing or replacing damaged components, upgrading outdated technology, and refueling depleted propellants. They can also remove defunct satellites and debris from orbit, reducing the risk of collisions with active spacecraft. Servicing Vehicles can be remotely operated or crewed, and can be launched on a variety of launch vehicles. They are an important component of space infrastructure, enabling the maintenance and sustainability of space assets.
