Satellite Communication System

In the context of aerospace engineering, a Satellite Communication System refers to a system of artificial satellites that relay and amplify radio telecommunications signals via a transponder. These systems create a communication channel between a source transmitter and a receiver at different locations on Earth. Satellite communication systems are used for television, telephone, radio, internet, and military applications. They are capable of providing high-speed data communication services globally. The system works by converting electrical signals containing data to a radio signal and transmitting this signal to the communication satellite. The satellite transmits the signal back to Earth where it is received and converted back into original data. The system consists of a ground station (Earth station), a satellite, and user equipment. The Earth station sends the signal to the satellite, which then sends the signal to the user equipment. The user equipment sends the signal back to the satellite, which then sends the signal back to the Earth station. This process is known as uplinking and downlinking.
