Reaction Engine
Reaction engine is a type of propulsion system that generates thrust by expelling mass in the opposite direction of the desired movement. It works on the principle of Newton's third law of motion, which states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Reaction engines are commonly used in spacecraft and rockets to provide the necessary thrust to overcome the Earth's gravity and achieve escape velocity. They can be classified into two types: chemical and electric. Chemical reaction engines use a chemical reaction to produce thrust, while electric reaction engines use electric fields to accelerate charged particles and generate thrust. Reaction engines have revolutionized space exploration by enabling spacecraft to travel farther and faster than ever before.
