Multi-stage

Multi-stage refers to a type of rocket design that utilizes multiple stages to achieve orbital velocity. Each stage of the rocket has its own engines and fuel supply. Once the fuel in the first stage is depleted, it is jettisoned and the second stage ignites, continuing the ascent. This process is repeated for each subsequent stage until the desired altitude and velocity are achieved. Multi-stage rockets are essential for spaceflight as they allow for greater efficiency in terms of fuel usage and payload capacity.
