Linear Fresnel Reflectors

Linear Fresnel Reflectors (LFRs) are a type of solar concentrator technology used in solar thermal power plants to generate electricity. LFRs use long, flat mirrors to reflect and concentrate sunlight onto a receiver tube located above the mirrors. The receiver tube contains a fluid that is heated by the concentrated sunlight, which then produces steam to power a turbine and generate electricity. LFRs are typically used in large-scale solar power plants due to their ability to concentrate sunlight over a large area. They are also relatively low-cost compared to other solar concentrator technologies, such as parabolic troughs or power towers.
