JPL


Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is a federally funded research and development center and NASA field center located in Pasadena, California. JPL is responsible for the design, development, and operation of robotic spacecraft and the conduct of Earth-orbit and deep space missions for NASA. JPL's major missions include the Mars rovers, Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn, and the Voyager mission to the outer solar system. JPL also conducts research and development in areas such as space-based astronomy, Earth science, and technology development for future space missions.
