Hyperspectral Imager

A hyperspectral imager is a type of remote sensing instrument that captures images of a scene in many narrow, contiguous spectral bands. Each pixel in the image contains a full spectrum of the scene, allowing for the identification and characterization of materials based on their unique spectral signatures. Hyperspectral imagers are used in a variety of applications, including mineral exploration, environmental monitoring, agriculture, and defense. They can be mounted on aircraft or satellites to capture images of large areas, and can also be used in handheld or ground-based applications for more localized imaging.
