Hubble Space Telescope

The Hubble Space Telescope is a large telescope in space that was launched in 1990. It is named after the American astronomer Edwin Hubble. The telescope is in a low Earth orbit and has a 2.4-meter (7.9 ft) mirror, which captures images of space in visible, ultraviolet, and infrared light. The Hubble Space Telescope has made many important discoveries in astronomy, including determining the rate of expansion of the universe, discovering new planets and moons in our solar system, and observing the most distant galaxies ever seen. It has also captured stunning images of space, which have been used in scientific research, education, and public outreach.
