GPS Receiver
A GPS receiver is an electronic device that receives signals from GPS satellites and calculates the receiver's position on Earth. The receiver uses the timing of the signals to determine the distance to each satellite and then uses trilateration to determine the receiver's position. GPS receivers can also provide information on velocity, heading, and altitude. There are different types of GPS receivers, including handheld, vehicle-mounted, and aviation-grade receivers. Handheld receivers are commonly used for outdoor activities such as hiking and camping, while vehicle-mounted receivers are used for navigation in cars and trucks. Aviation-grade receivers are designed for use in aircraft and provide additional features such as terrain and obstacle warnings.
