Gate Valves
Gate valves are devices used to control the flow of fluids in a pipeline by means of a sliding gate that moves across the flow stream. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, gate valves are commonly used in rocket engines and spacecraft propulsion systems to regulate the flow of propellants and other fluids. They are designed to withstand high pressures and temperatures, and to provide a tight seal when closed to prevent leaks. Gate valves are typically operated manually or by an actuator, and can be made of various materials depending on the application, such as stainless steel, titanium, or nickel alloys.
