False Color

False color is a technique used in space and astronautical engineering to enhance the visual contrast of images captured by remote sensing instruments. It involves assigning colors to different wavelengths of light that are not visible to the human eye, such as infrared or ultraviolet. By doing so, it is possible to highlight features that would otherwise be difficult to distinguish, such as variations in temperature, vegetation health, or geological composition. False color images are widely used in fields such as environmental monitoring, agriculture, and geology, as well as in space exploration missions to study other planets and moons. They can provide valuable insights into the physical properties of the objects being observed, and help scientists to better understand their behavior and evolution over time.
