Deep Space Network

Deep Space Network (DSN) is a network of antennas that are used by space missions to communicate with spacecraft beyond the orbit of the Moon. It is managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and provides support for interplanetary spacecraft missions that explore the solar system and beyond. The DSN consists of three complexes located in California, Spain, and Australia, each with multiple antennas that can receive and transmit signals to spacecraft. The DSN antennas are highly sensitive and can detect signals from spacecraft that are billions of miles away. The network operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is essential for maintaining communication with spacecraft on long-duration missions.
