Aerospace Vehicle

An aerospace vehicle, also known as an aerospace craft, is a machine designed for travel or operation in outer space, the atmosphere of an astronomical object, or the expanse of space that exists beyond the earth's atmosphere. These vehicles are used for a variety of purposes, including scientific research, communications, earth observation, meteorology, navigation, space colonization, planetary exploration, and transportation of humans and cargo. They are designed and built with special materials to withstand the harsh conditions of space, such as extreme temperatures and radiation. Aerospace vehicles can be unmanned, like satellites and robotic spacecraft, or manned, like space shuttles and space stations. They are propelled either by chemical rockets or by other means, such as ion drives, nuclear propulsion, or solar sails. The design, construction, and operation of aerospace vehicles involve a wide range of disciplines, including physics, mathematics, materials science, and computer science.
