Active Dampers
Active dampers are devices used to reduce vibrations and oscillations in spacecraft and launch vehicles during launch and in-orbit operations. They work by sensing the vibrations and oscillations and producing counteracting forces to reduce their effects. Active dampers can be used to reduce the structural loads on the spacecraft and its components, improve the pointing accuracy of instruments, and increase the lifetime of the spacecraft.
