Transit Method

Transit method is a technique used to detect exoplanets by observing the periodic dimming of a star's brightness as a planet passes in front of it. This method involves monitoring the light curve of a star and looking for a regular decrease in brightness that occurs at fixed intervals. The depth and duration of the dimming can provide information about the size and orbital period of the planet. The transit method is one of the most successful techniques for detecting exoplanets and has been used to discover thousands of planets outside our solar system.
