Superconducting Magnets
Superconducting magnets are electromagnets made from coils of superconducting wire that can conduct electricity with zero resistance when cooled to very low temperatures. These magnets are used in various applications in space and astronautical engineering, such as particle accelerators, magnetic levitation systems, and magnetic confinement fusion devices. Superconducting magnets are preferred over traditional magnets because they can generate much stronger magnetic fields and can be more energy-efficient. However, they require cryogenic cooling systems to maintain their superconducting state, which can be expensive and complex.
