Subsatellite

A subsatellite is a secondary satellite that is deployed from a primary satellite in orbit. Subsatellites are typically smaller and less complex than their primary counterparts, and are used for a variety of purposes such as remote sensing, scientific research, and technology demonstration. They are often released from the primary satellite using a spring-loaded mechanism or a robotic arm, and can operate independently or in coordination with the primary satellite. Subsatellites can be used to gather additional data and information about the surrounding environment, or to test new technologies and systems in space. They can also be used to extend the capabilities of the primary satellite, such as by providing additional imaging or communication capabilities. Subsatellites are an important tool for space exploration and research, and have been used in a variety of missions and programs.
