Segmented Antennas

Segmented antennas are a type of antenna system used in space and astronautical engineering that consist of multiple smaller antennas arranged in a specific pattern to create a larger, more powerful antenna. These antennas are often used in spacecraft communication systems, as they allow for greater flexibility in directing and receiving signals. The individual segments can be adjusted to change the direction and focus of the antenna, allowing for better communication with specific targets. Segmented antennas are also useful in situations where a single large antenna would be impractical or impossible to deploy, such as on small satellites or in situations where weight and space are at a premium.
