Optical Components
Optical components are devices that manipulate light in space and astronautical engineering applications. These components include lenses, mirrors, prisms, filters, and fibers. Lenses are used to focus or diverge light, while mirrors reflect light. Prisms are used to split light into its component colors or to deflect light. Filters are used to selectively transmit or block certain wavelengths of light. Fibers are used to transmit light over long distances with minimal loss. Optical components are used in a variety of space and astronautical engineering applications, including telescopes, cameras, laser communication systems, and sensors.
