Nextel

Nextel was a telecommunications company that provided wireless communication services to businesses and individuals. The company was known for its push-to-talk feature, which allowed users to instantly connect with one another at the touch of a button. Nextel also offered other services such as text messaging, internet access, and GPS navigation. In 2005, Nextel merged with Sprint Corporation to form Sprint Nextel Corporation. The merger allowed the two companies to combine their resources and expand their network coverage. However, the merger also resulted in the discontinuation of the Nextel brand and the push-to-talk feature.
