Nautical Mile

A nautical mile is a unit of measurement used in air, sea, and space navigation. It is defined as the distance that a vessel or aircraft can travel in one minute at a constant speed. One nautical mile is equivalent to 1.852 kilometers or 1.151 miles. The use of nautical miles is important in space and astronautical engineering as it allows for precise calculations of distances between celestial bodies and spacecraft. It is also used in the measurement of satellite orbits and in the planning of space missions.
