Infrared Sensors

Infrared sensors are devices that detect and measure infrared radiation emitted by objects. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, infrared sensors are used for a variety of purposes, including remote temperature sensing, atmospheric monitoring, and target detection and tracking. Infrared sensors can be passive or active, with passive sensors relying on the natural infrared radiation emitted by objects and active sensors emitting their own infrared radiation and measuring the reflected signal. Infrared sensors are used in a variety of space applications, including Earth observation, planetary exploration, and satellite communication.
