Ground Support Equipment

Ground Support Equipment (GSE) refers to the vehicles, tools, and equipment used to support space and astronautical operations on the ground. GSE includes a wide range of equipment such as cranes, forklifts, tugs, and fuel trucks, as well as specialized tools and test equipment used to maintain and repair spacecraft and launch vehicles. GSE is critical to the success of space missions, as it ensures that spacecraft and launch vehicles are properly prepared and maintained for launch, and that they are safely transported and positioned on the launch pad. GSE is also used to support spacecraft and launch vehicle recovery operations, as well as to transport and store hazardous materials and propellants.
