Experimental Aircraft

Experimental aircraft are aircraft that have not yet been fully proven in flight or have not yet been certified by a governing aviation body. These aircraft are often used to test new technologies, materials, or designs. They are typically built by individuals or small companies and are subject to less stringent regulations than certified aircraft. Experimental aircraft can range from small, single-seat planes to large, multi-engine aircraft. They are often used for research and development purposes, as well as for personal use by aviation enthusiasts. Due to their experimental nature, these aircraft can be more dangerous to operate than certified aircraft, and pilots must have special training and certification to fly them.
