Electronic Support

Electronic Support (ES) is the use of electronic systems and technologies to detect, intercept, identify, locate, and analyze sources of electromagnetic energy for the purpose of providing situational awareness and support to military operations. ES systems can be used for a variety of purposes, including electronic intelligence (ELINT), electronic warfare (EW), and spectrum management. ES systems can operate in a variety of frequency ranges, from very low frequency (VLF) to extremely high frequency (EHF), and can be deployed on a variety of platforms, including ground-based, airborne, and space-based systems. ES systems are critical to modern military operations, providing commanders with the ability to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
