Ejection Seats

Ejection seats are safety mechanisms designed to rapidly eject a pilot or crew member from an aircraft in emergency situations. They are typically used when the aircraft is at a low altitude or when the pilot is unable to safely land the aircraft. Ejection seats are equipped with rocket motors that propel the seat and occupant away from the aircraft, and parachutes that slow the descent and provide a safe landing. The ejection seat system is a complex mechanism that includes a seat, a canopy or hatch, a rocket motor, a control system, and a survival kit. The system must be designed to operate reliably in a wide range of conditions, including high speeds, high altitudes, and extreme temperatures.
