Cleanroom Environments

Cleanroom environments are controlled environments with low levels of pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles, and chemical vapors. These environments are used in space and astronautical engineering to manufacture and assemble spacecraft, satellites, and other space-related equipment. The level of cleanliness in a cleanroom is determined by the number of particles per cubic meter of air. The lower the number, the cleaner the environment. Cleanroom environments are essential in space and astronautical engineering because even small particles can cause significant damage to sensitive equipment and instruments. Cleanroom environments are maintained by using specialized air filters, positive air pressure, and strict protocols for personnel entering and exiting the cleanroom.
