Bit Error Rate

Bit Error Rate (BER) is the measure of the number of bit errors that occur in a digital communication system per unit time. It is usually expressed as a ratio of the number of bits that have errors to the total number of bits transmitted in a given time period. BER is an important parameter in the design and evaluation of digital communication systems, as it provides an indication of the system's reliability and performance. A low BER indicates a high level of reliability and good performance, while a high BER indicates poor performance and low reliability. BER can be affected by various factors such as noise, interference, distortion, and attenuation.
