Bipropellant

Bipropellant is a type of rocket propellant that consists of two separate components, usually a fuel and an oxidizer, which are stored separately prior to use. When the propellant is needed, the two components are pumped into a combustion chamber where they mix and ignite, producing thrust. Bipropellants are commonly used in spacecraft propulsion systems due to their high performance and controllability. They offer a high specific impulse, which is a measure of the efficiency of a rocket engine, and can be throttled or shut down as needed. However, bipropellants can also be more complex and expensive to handle and store compared to other types of propellants.
