Frequency Division Multiplexing

Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) is a technique used in space and astronautical engineering to transmit multiple signals simultaneously over a single communication channel by dividing the available bandwidth into multiple non-overlapping frequency sub-bands. Each sub-band is then used to carry a separate signal. FDM is commonly used in satellite communication systems to increase the amount of data that can be transmitted over a single satellite link. It is also used in radio and television broadcasting to transmit multiple channels over a single frequency band.
